With over 60,000 names in the War Dead Register, information about some fallen soldiers is very sparse. Detailed information is indeed sometimes hard to come by because sources are limited.
Local researchers often study fallen soldiers. This provides them with valuable information that can help complete the War Dead Register.
How does it work?
1. Fill out the “Cemeteries” entry on the homepage with the word “info”. This can be done in combination with other search criteria such as date and place of birth, etc.
2. Select a fallen soldier listed in the War Dead Register and discover which information is missing.
3. Send an e-mail to wardeadregister@warheritage.be if you possess additional information.
With your help we can complete the War Dead Register.
